New #1′s and Creative Teams

At this point in time, Marvel’s Secret Wars, has personally done nothing except make us nervous. Although we have been warned, no matter what anyone says, this is basically their “new 52” reboot.  The reboot part is not where our main concerns are, it is with certain characters in particular. With that being said, the recent teaser images drawn by davidmarquez are what really filled us with questions…

Okay so we can see Logan stays as Old Man Logan, while Captain America and Thor keep their controversial identities. Thinking outside of the box though, all these character’s creative teams, will they remain the same? Our main predictions and questions are in regards to Captain Marvel  Ultimate Spider-man (Miles Morales), and Spider-Gwen.

Besides the expected comics all being relaunched at issue #1, does this also mean a loss of the current creative teams? For example Capt. Marvel has been written by kellysue for quite some time now. She has done wonders for the character, will she stick with the character? There is no way Capt. Marvel won’t be getting a #1. 

Miles Morales, another favorite of ours, was not only created by brianmichaelbendis has been written by him since his creation. Although Miles is a newer character, he already has two #1′s under his belt and a “True Believers” #1 as well. We know brianmichaelbendis​ will be on Iron-man with davidmarquez, which was Mile’s so very perfect creative team… Will this mean a new creative team for Miles Morales and a new #1? Assuming he gets his own ongoing series.

Lastly, Spider-gwen has had very recent uproar in popularity and has her own #1. Just like the ultimate universe, Spider-gwen is in an alternate universe outside of Marvel’s main 616 universe. Due to the fact that Secret Wars plans to end with one universal universe, we could only assume that Spider-gwen will also be relaunched with a brand-new #1 set in this new universe. All which will happen before she even reaches her 12 issue mark.

We can only predict that at least some of what we said will occur, we have to be right about something, although there are just so many changes happening, honestly… who knows at this point. Regardless this is a big move for marvel, and we are excited to see how it all plays out.
